   The skin of a foot sole is a subject to much higher stress and weight pressure than any other surface area of human body. It consists of five layers instead if usual three. Daily constrains of a footwear only add water dis-balance to the mix. All this raises demands for any skin care product targeting this complex area. It has to be of a low viscosity in order to penetrate two additional skin layers - to dermis and hypodermis, where restorative processes take place. But many ingredients supporting these processes do not meet this condition. Constantly changing water balance of this area demands very "patient" humectants. But even if those are present they are being pushed out into dead layers by constant pressure. Outer layers must be saturated with emollients to minimize these losses. It's very difficult to maintain their proper concentration due to mentioned conditions.
